Community Trust Bank announced the promotion of Ford Lensing to Market Relationship Banker. In his new role at the bank’s Bastrop Banking Center, Lensing will serve the community as a central relationship banker, ensuring the high levels of customer focus and service the bank is known for throughout the area.
A member of the Community Trust Bank team since 2008, Lensing will bring his experience and customer-devotion to this position.
“Ford has always demonstrated his willingness to go above and beyond in the relationship-based financial services process. With more than 30 years of industry experience, it would be a challenging endeavor to find a more suitable individual to fulfill our strategic needs in Morehouse and Ouachita Parishes,” said Lance Hall, Regional President, Community Trust Bank.
Lensing began his career in Lake Providence at the former Bank of Dixie before joining Central Bank in Monroe, LA, in 1988. In 1997, he became a commercial lending officer with AmSouth Bank, then moved to Regions Bank as a Business Banking Relationship Manager for the Ouachita and Morehouse Parishes until 2006.
“The market presence and familiarity Ford has for our Bastrop Banking Center, as well as the surrounding markets, is a huge asset to our banking team,” Hall added. “Over the years Lensing has ingrained himself in the area communities. He is the type of person we are proud to work with, and an admirable representative for Community Trust Bank at the Bastrop Banking Center.”
Possessing a distinguished academic background, Lensing graduated from the University of Louisiana Monroe, cum laude, with a degree in government, and also from the Graduate School of Banking of the South. He remains active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau from 2001 through 2007, and serving as Treasurer on the same Board from 2004 through 2007. Lensing is also a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Swartz, LA, and served as church bookkeeper for 13 years.
A resident of Ouachita Parish for the last 24 years, Lensing and his wife Carolyn, affectionately known as “Kaye,” enjoy spending time with their two grandchildren Brock and Brooklyn.
