Emmerson Daily Named to Board of Directors of Community Trust Bank

JACKSON, MS – June 5, 2012

Community Trust Bank has announced the appointment of Emmerson Daily to its Board of Directors. Currently the CEO of Daily Equipment Company, Daily is one of Jackson’s most prominent business and community leaders, currently serving on the board of directors for Kalmar Rough Terrain Center (KRTC) and Affinity Insurance Company. He parallels his business consulting with robust community involvement, which has included roles as Vice Chairman of the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority, Commissioner of the City of Jackson Redevelopment Authority, President and Chairman of Jackson Zoological Park, Inc., Chairman of the Convention Center Task Force for the City of Jackson and as a board of directors member for Metro Jackson Habitat for Humanity.

The appointment of the Mississippian is representative of Community Trust Bank’s exponential regional growth and strategy of appointing board members embedded in their communities. Daily will be expected to further the expansion process throughout the southeast and Mississippi using his own company exposure, which has experienced similar regional successes.

“Adding a board member to our organization requires thorough process and mutual understanding,” said Drake Mills, President and CEO, Community Trust Bank. “Mr. Daily plays an integral role in the communities he is involved with, thus increasing our ability to understand and address the needs of individuals and businesses within these communities from a more personal, grassroots level.”

Community Trust Bank is a century old institution, which provides a wide range of traditional banking services. Daily, a graduate of the University of Illinois, joins a distinguished group on the Board of Directors, all with diverse professional backgrounds.

“As an organization that closely examines wants and needs of our customers, potential customers and stakeholders, continuing to surround ourselves with quality directors and employees is imperative to our on-going success and what we feel is the backbone of any service-based organization,” Mills added.
